Present: E.H. Steinmetz, Mark Halverson, Jim Tracy, Robert Idso, Jerry Ibberson, Medea Myhra, Mike Myhra, Judy Cooper
1. President Idso called the meeting to order at 7:45 pm. Jim moved that we approve the minutes of the last meeting. Eric seconded. Carried.
2. President’s Report: Bob reported that there has been extensive graffiti vandalism at the parking lot of the Kasota Prairie. The Sheriff has been called and they are investigating. Unimin has already sandblasted the graffiti. Bob looked it over today and it looks pretty good.
3. Treasurer’s Report: We are still trying to straighten out our gambling finances.
4. Gambling Manager’s Report: No formal gambling manager’s report. We are working with John Lever to get the books completed. Appears that we have $8200. Decision made to make proposal to Gambling Control Board to distribute money back into the general fund to pay for outstanding bills and fines and see how much is left. Will meet next week after all records and bank statements are looked at, expenditures determined, books completed, and final amounts tallied, to determine the recommendations that will be made to the gambling board.
5. Old business: Mark found someone (Mike Tucker, website: www.friartuck’slandscaping.com) to rebuild the stone wall, and replace whole wall. Quote of $16,500. Recommend that The Friends contribute to this.
6. New business: Website news: Continue to put newsletters on website. Suggest putting some pictures on the site, maybe four sets of seasonal pictures. Link to The Friends of the Valley website.
7. Bob moved to adjourn. Medea seconded. Carried.

Next meeting: 7:00 December 16, 2004, Community Center.

Next quarterly meeting will be Thursday, March 24, 2005.

Annual meeting will be Tuesday, July 12, 2005.
