Present: Robert Idso, Mark Halverson, Jim Tracy, Eric Steinmetz, and Judy Cooper

1. President Idso called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.
2. Agenda was set with flexibility
3. President’s report: polished off a pint of Ben and Jerry’s. We finalized the date of termination of gambling as 1-1-2005 with the IRS. President Idso finalized this the IRS today. A copy of the letter to the IRS was given to the treasurer and circulated to the members. Idso will call the IRS in Chicago to ask that we not be held to pay the 5% excess holdings tax for the years 02, 03, 04, and 05. If necessary, Steinmetz will draft a letter to them outlining our rationale. It will be 5 years until we are eligible to be a publicly supported organization again.
4. Treasurer’s report. We have about $1200 in the checking account. We have about $3,500 in investments. We also have about $14,200 in gambling accounts.
5. Road cleanup: Wednesday, May 4th and Saturday, May 7th.
6. Signs: The sign man has one of our signs redone and has asked that we try it and see how it holds up under the son. Judy will pick it up. The friends of the Minnesota Valley also have a sign plan and Eric will check on that.
7. Rebuilding the wall: We need to get some clarification from Mike Tucker, the man who gave a bid for rebuilding the wall, about exactly what he has in mind. The Friends will be in charge of funding the project and they feel like they need to go over the project with the contractor before agreeing to anything. Bob will talk to him. We will arrange to go out there and figure out what needs to be done.
8. We need to clean up the web site cleaned up and get this information on it. Bob will call Jerry Ibberson.
9. Mark Halverson moved to adjourn. Jim Tracy seconded. Motion carried.
