Annual Membership and Board Meeting Minutes July 12, 2005 Kasota Park Shelter St. Peter, MN 56082

Present: Robert Idso, Mark Halverson, Jim Tracy, Eric Steinmetz, Judy Cooper, John Goranson, Neil Stevermer

1. President Idso called the meeting to order at 7:15 PM after a potluck supper.
2. Agenda was set with additions from members present at the meeting.
3. President’s report: Minutes of last year’s annual meeting were read. Mark Halverson moved and Jim Tracy seconded to approve the minutes. Minutes approved by the membership. The Wall has been built and looks nice. An article in the Mankato paper The Free Press appeared today with Bob’s picture included.
4. Treasurer’s report. Attorney General Report due on July 15th, an annual report to maintain a non-profit status. A financial statement is also needed with this. The accountants will help with this report. Gambling reports are needed through December of last year. $1338.04 in the checking and savings accounts. $7200.84 in investments.
5. Judy reported on informational signs for the prairie. The first one did not stand up to the elements but the new one is so Judy will let the sign maker know to go ahead with the signs.
6. Old business: Tax status discussed.
7. New business: Question about security - a member was asked to leave the prairie after 10:00 PM by Unimin security. The signs to the prairie do state the prairie closes at 10:00 PM. New T-shirts are needed, XL and medium tie dyes and XL grey. Mike will take care of ordering these at the screen printing place, 20 of each. Election of 2005-2006 Board, current board R. Idso, E. Steinmetz, M. Halverson, J. Tracy, J. Cooper, Medea Myhra, Mike Myhra. White ballot to elect same officers. Mark Halverson moved and Neil Stevermer seconded. Motion carried. Judy Cooper will take care of recruiting people to work Rock Bend, noon to dusk. Mike Myhra will again help with set-up and take-down of the tent. Idea discussed about having a spaghetti feed, pancake breakfast, or buoya feed to get visibility, have fun, raise money, maybe the first part of November. Put on agenda for October membership meeting. Fall road cleanup will be Wednesday, September 14th and Saturday, September 17th. Judy will also have a sign-up sheet at Rock Bend.
8. John Goranson moved to adjourn membership meeting. Neil Stevermer seconded. Motion carried.

   Next meeting: Thursday, October 6th, 2005 at 7:00 PM American Legion, St. Peter.

   Board Meeting called to order at 8:20 PM. Mike Myhra moved to keep the same officers. Mark Halverson seconded. Motion carried.

   President Idso gave written notice to the Board that a new dues tier be discussed at the October meeting.

   Judy Cooper moved to adjourn the meeting. Jim Tracy seconded. Motion carried.
